Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement of Act 1989
The Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989, or FIRREA, is a federal law that was created in response to the savings and loan crisis after hundreds of US savings and loan institutions failed in the 1980s.
